Hayes School PTO Fundraising
The school PTO depends on funding from our families to run school community events, student enrichment programs, and to support classrooms. The PTO invests $150-$200 per student, each year, to ensure that all students have an excellent learning experience at Hayes School. Thank you for your gift!
All gifts are fully tax-deductible.
How does the PTO raise FUNDS?
The PTO raises funds through fall events (Fun Run, Read-A-Thon) and the spring Hawk Fund fundraiser. Our goal is 100% family participation in donations.
The PTO welcomes corporate matches from its families' employers, and is grateful for all grants received by State and local organizations.
Gifts in kind, such as food donations for PTO events, discount pricing, and volunteer work are deeply appreciated and valued.
How are Hayes PTO fundraising dollars granted to the school community?
Each item, activity, upgrade, program, and committee supported by the PTO is formally requested through a grant process. There are two grant cycles: one in the fall and one in the spring.
Everyone in the Hayes school community - teachers, administrators, parents, students - is eligible and invited to apply for a grant. Grant applications are reviewed by a PTO Committee comprised of volunteer parents. The Committee aims to support a broad range of initiatives and enrich the student experience at Hayes. The PTO approves as many grants as the PTO annual fundraising can afford, ranging annually from $30,000 to $50,000 per year.
