We're thrilled to announce that we are now launching 5th and 6th grade Boys Tournament Basketball Teams. Following the high level of interest for our 7th grade team program, we’re expanding opportunities for younger players to develop their skills in a supportive and focused environment.

Why this Program? As the founder of Unit 1 Athletics and as a former high school varsity basketball coach, I’m excited to build a program that prioritizes player development, resilience, and skill-building for young athletes. We aim to create a strong foundation that supports each player’s growth, both on and off the court. Our Boys coaching team, led by experienced youth coaches Tim Ellison and Devon Richardson, is dedicated to creating an enriching experience that focuses on intentional effort and commitment. With time, we will bring in other local coaches. For the 5th and 6th-grade teams, evaluations will help us place players for one or two tournament teams at each grade, each with 10-12 players. We are focused on helping players improve incredibly quickly!
What is the Program? The program will run for 15 weeks and will include participation in the Zero Gravity tournaments in Massachusetts on March 22nd and March 29th. We’re open to extending the program into additional tournaments or spring training based on interest and availability. Our goal is to foster a love of the game, commitment to skill improvement, and a balanced approach that respects other commitments players may have. Our training sessions will be rigorous and uplifting. The will follow the "Unit 1 Way" (www.unit1athletics.com)
We're excited to grow Unit 1 Athletics with your support and look forward to building a dynamic program together!
