Project Reboot Middle-School Family Workshop

Description

On Friday 10/23, Hayes middle schoolers will attend a one-hour assembly during the school day led by Dino Ambrosi of Project Reboot. Students will explore how digital habits affect their attention, well-being, relationships, and goals, and learn practical strategies for using technology more intentionally.

Dino and Project Reboot's assemblies at all Brookline schools are made possible by a grant from the Commonwealth of MA. Friday's assembly directly builds on our work at Hayes, from workshops and panels to Screenagers screenings and Wait Until 8th, to support families with decisions around technology.

To help give parents a preview of the assembly, the Project Reboot team is hosting a workshop on Thursday, 10/22, 6:00–7:30 PM at FRR School's multi-purpose room.

Thursday's workshop will give parents:

  • Practical ideas for starting productive conversations about tech at home
  • A parent handbook and dinner table discussion guide
  • Supporting articles and research
  • One month of free premium access to Clearspace, an optional app that helps users pause and set limits on distracting apps
